Privacy Policy
MAGNETIC MOTORSPORTS  |  ABN 98 280 971 224

 Effective 22/07/2026

·    About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Magnetic Motorsports ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses your personal information, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

By using our website or purchasing from us, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described here. We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always available on our website.

·    What information we collect

We may collect:

– Contact and identity details — name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address.

– Order information — products purchased, order history, vehicle details you provide (such as make, model, and configuration for fitment).

– Payment information — processed securely by our payment providers. We do not store your full card details on our systems.

– Media you send us — photographs or videos you provide, for example of an installed product or conversion (see Section 8).

– Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, and how you use our website, collected via cookies and analytics.

– Communications — records of your enquiries and correspondence with us.

·    How we collect it

We collect information: directly from you (when you order, enquire, or send us media); automatically through our website (cookies and analytics); and from third parties who help us operate, such as our e-commerce platform and payment providers.

·    Why we collect and use it

We use your personal information to:

– Process and fulfil your orders and provide our products and services

– Communicate with you about orders, enquiries, warranty claims, and support

– Confirm vehicle fitment and provide technical assistance

– Improve our website, products, and customer experience

– Send you marketing or updates where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time)

– Meet our legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations

We only use your information for the purposes for which it was collected, or related purposes you would reasonably expect.

·    Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

– Service providers who help us operate — such as our e-commerce platform (Shopify and other systems, including but not limited to these), payment processors, shipping and freight carriers, and email/marketing tools — only as needed to provide their service.

– Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside Australia (for example, Shopify and analytics providers). Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

·    Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how it is used (for example via Google Analytics and advertising pixels). You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if you do.

·    Data security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, and rely on the security measures of our e-commerce platform and payment providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We keep your information only for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described here, or as required by law (for example, tax and business records).

·    Customer-supplied media

Where you send us media — such as photographs or videos of an installed CANbus module, harness, or completed conversion in your vehicle — you grant us permission to use it for promotional and marketing purposes, including on our website and social media, unless you tell us otherwise.

We will not publish personal identifying details (such as number plates or your name) without your consent, and will make reasonable efforts to obscure them where practical. You can withdraw this permission at any time by contacting us in writing at admin@magneticmotorsports.com, and we will stop using the media and remove it from materials we control where reasonably practicable. This mirrors the Customer-supplied media clause in our Terms of Sale.

·    Your rights

You have the right to:

– Access the personal information we hold about you

– Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date

– Opt out of marketing communications at any time

– Ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it by law

– Make a complaint about how we have handled your information

To exercise any of these, contact us at admin@magneticmotorsports.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
